Scam - Spoofing Phone Numbers

Our antennae is raised every time there is a phone call coming in from an unidentified number. But what if the number is recognizable? Read the article about a Tech Exec who almost got scammed by a spoofed phone number that matched his 800 number on the back of his ATM card.

The other day I received a call from a person saying he was from the post office. I was suspicious, but he did not ask for any personal information and it turns out it was a legitimate call regarding a ring of arrests made by the police for criminals stealing letters (including mine for estimated tax payments) from US Postal Boxes.
